Change words on every page at once (find and replace)
Change a phone number, a name or any words everywhere they appear, after seeing every place first.
Steps
Open More › Find and replace…. Or press Ctrl+Shift+H (Cmd+Shift+H on a Mac).
Type the words in Find and the new words in Replace with. Leave it empty to remove the words, or choose Make them a link to turn them into a link instead.
In Look in, choose every page, this page or every blog post, then press Find. Capitals do not matter unless you tick Match capitals.
Every place is listed with its page and the words around it. Untick any you want to leave as they are. On a big site, press Show more to see the next pages.
Press Change at the bottom. The changes are saved as drafts, so press Publish site when you want visitors to see them.
Changed your mind? Press Undo these changes and every page goes back as it was.
Or ask the Assistant: “Change 555-0100 to 555-0199 on every page.” It shows you every place first, with a button to apply them all.
Tip: Menu entries, page names and the site header or footer are listed at the bottom of the results: change those where they are.
